Mortgage Lifter tomatoes originated in West Virginia in the 1920s and got their name because the tomato variety became so popular that the sales helped the breeder pay off his mortgage!

Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Roll out the pizza dough into a circle and transfer it to a baking sheet.

Crumble the Gorgonzola cheese evenly over the pizza dough.

Slice the Mortgage Lifter tomatoes and arrange them on top of the cheese.

Sprinkle with fresh basil leaves, salt, and black pepper.

Drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
