  5. Add a few drops of food coloring to each portion and knead until the color is evenly distributed.
  6. Place the dough portions in separate greased bowls, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.

  8. Take one portion of each colored dough and roll them into ropes of equal length.
  9. Braid the ropes together, tucking the ends under.
