Cinnamon Chocolate Chip Cookies with Peanuts
Chocolate chip cookies were invented by Ruth Graves Wakefield in 1938. She added chopped up chunks of a Nestle chocolate bar into her cookie dough, expecting it to melt and create chocolate cookies. Instead, the chocolate chunks held their shape, and the chocolate chip cookie was born!
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 55 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 11.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the ground cinnamon.

Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped peanuts.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
