Chocolate Orange Muffins
In the UK, chocolate orange muffins are often enjoyed as a treat during the festive season, particularly around Christmas time.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and whisk until smooth.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the orange juice, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

Stir in the orange zest, milk, and chocolate chips.

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin cups.

Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let the muffins cool in the tin for 5 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
