  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Add the melted butter, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
