Melty Chocolate Truffles

Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces.

In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and butter over medium heat until it starts to simmer.

Remove from heat and pour the hot cream mixture over the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for a minute.

Stir the mixture until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

Add cocoa powder, vanilla extract, powdered sugar, and salt. Mix well.

Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.

Once chilled, use a spoon or a melon baller to scoop out small portions of the mixture.

Roll each portion into a ball using your hands.

Coat the truffles with cocoa powder or any desired toppings.

Place the truffles in an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to serve.
