Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.

In a mixing bowl, combine cherries, sugar, and lemon juice. Let it sit for 10 minutes.

Add almond extract and milk to the dry ingredients. Stir until well combined.

Melt butter and pour it into the greased baking dish.
