Valentine’s Tea Cookies are a popular treat during Valentine’s Day and are often given as gifts to loved ones.

In a bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the vanilla extract and mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and salt.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.

Add the milk and mix until the dough comes together.

Shape the dough into a disk, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to 1/4 inch (6 cm) thickness.

Use heart-shaped cookie cutters to cut out cookies and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.

Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, dust the cookies with powdered sugar.
