In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground nutmeg, salt, and cayenne pepper.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.

Roll the dough into small balls and roll each ball in granulated sugar.

Place the coated balls on a baking sheet and flatten them slightly with the bottom of a glass.
