Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F).

In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and caster sugar until light and fluffy.

Sift in the flour and cornstarch, then mix until a dough forms.

Press the dough into a greased baking dish, smoothing the surface with the back of a spoon.

Prick the surface of the dough with a fork to create a decorative pattern.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it cool in the baking dish for 10 minutes.
