Cut the day-old bread into cubes and spread them evenly in the baking dish.

Sprinkle pecans and butterscotch chips over the bread cubes.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, bourbon, vanilla extract, and salt.

Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes, making sure all the bread is soaked.
