Orangettes
Orangettes are a traditional French confectionery made with candied orange peel dipped in dark chocolate. They are often served as a sweet treat or dessert.

Wash the oranges and cut them into thin strips.

In a saucepan, bring water to a boil and blanch the orange strips for 5 minutes.

Drain the orange strips and transfer them to a bowl.

In another saucepan, combine the granulated sugar with 100ml of water and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.

Add the blanched orange strips to the sugar syrup and simmer for 10 minutes.

Remove the orange strips from the syrup and let them cool on a wire rack.

Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water.

Dip each orange strip into the melted chocolate, coating it completely.

Place the coated orange strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rest for 1 hour.

Once the chocolate has hardened, the orangettes are ready to be enjoyed!
