Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a medium bowl, combine oats, flour, baking soda, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing well. Stir in the walnuts and raisins.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
