Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown and gives off a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the browned butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture and mix until smooth. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough and flatten it in your palm. Place a teaspoon of Nutella in the center and fold the dough around it, sealing it completely. Repeat with the remaining dough and Nutella. Place the stuffed cookie dough balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between each cookie. Sprinkle sea salt flakes on top of each cookie. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
