Nutella Cakes

Nutella was created in the 1940s by an Italian pastry maker named Pietro Ferrero during World War II when cocoa was in short supply.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a muffin tin.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.

Heat the Nutella in the microwave for 20-30 seconds until it becomes slightly runny.

Spoon a tablespoon of batter into each muffin cup, then add a teaspoon of Nutella on top.

Cover the Nutella with another tablespoon of batter.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cakes to cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
