  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the evaporated milk and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the caramel sauce into the bottom of a flan mold or baking dish.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the caramel sauce.
  7. Place the flan mold or baking dish in a larger baking pan and fill the larger pan with hot water, about halfway up the sides of the flan mold.
  8. Bake for 60 minutes, or until the flan is set.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the water bath for 10 minutes.
  10. Remove the flan from the water bath and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until completely chilled.
  11. To serve, run a knife around the edges of the flan to loosen it, then invert onto a serving plate.
  12. Slice and serve chilled.
