Peel and chop the potatoes. Boil them in salted water until tender. Drain and set aside.

In a separate pot, boil the cabbage until soft. Drain and set aside.

In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the boiled cabbage and mashed potatoes. Mix well.

Gradually add the milk while stirring, until the desired consistency is reached.
