Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.

In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil.

Continue to boil for 3 minutes, then pour the mixture over the saltine crackers, spreading it evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes.

Remove from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot toffee. Let it sit for a few minutes to melt, then spread the melted chocolate evenly over the toffee.

Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the melted chocolate.

Allow the chocolate to set for about 1 hour, then break into pieces.
