  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a food processor, grind the hazelnuts until finely chopped.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground hazelnuts, flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.
  4. Melt the butter and chocolate together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and vanilla extract together.
  6. Gradually pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, whisking continuously.
  7. Add the dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture and fold until well combined.
  8. Pour the batter into a tart pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the tart is set.
  10. Allow the tart to cool for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  11. Once cooled, spread whipped cream over the top of the tart and garnish with hazelnuts.
