In a heatproof bowl, melt the butter and dark chocolate together over a pan of simmering water.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Gradually pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring constantly.

In another bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture, stirring until just combined.

Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each biscuit.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the biscuits have cracked and are set around the edges.

Allow the biscuits to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
