  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch (23 cm) springform pan to form the crust.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the springform pan.
  7. Bake for 40 minutes or until the center is set.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  9. Run a knife around the edges of the pan to loosen the cheesecake.
  10. Remove the sides of the springform pan and let the cheesecake cool completely.
  11. Once cooled, spread the cherry pie filling over the top of the cheesecake.
  12. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  13. Serve chilled and enjoy!
