Cheese straws are believed to have originated in England and were traditionally served with afternoon tea.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a floured surface.

Sprinkle the cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, paprika, salt, and black pepper evenly over the puff pastry.

Gently press the cheese mixture into the pastry.

Cut the pastry into thin strips.

Twist each strip and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
