  2. Slice the onions into thin strips.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until caramelized, stirring occasionally, for about 15 minutes.
  4. In a separate pan, toast the walnuts over medium heat until fragrant, stirring frequently, for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and roughly chop.
  5. Place the flatbread on a baking sheet. Drizzle with the remaining olive oil.
  6. Spread the caramelized onions evenly over the flatbread.
  7. Top with chopped walnuts and slices of brie.
  8. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and honey.
  9. Sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves, salt, and black pepper.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  11. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.
