Best ever chocolate chip cookies
The chocolate chip cookie was invented by Ruth Graves Wakefield in 1938. She ran out of baker’s chocolate while making cookies and substituted it with chopped up chocolate, expecting it to melt and create chocolate cookies. Instead, the chocolate pieces retained their shape, creating the first chocolate chip cookies.
