In a medium bowl, whisk together the White Lily flour, baking soda, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and packed light brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the creamy peanut butter, egg, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture. Mix until well combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips and vegetable shortening in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
