White Cupcakes with Chocolate Centers and Chocolate Glaze Icing

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.

Fill each cupcake liner halfway with batter. Place a small piece of chocolate in the center of each cupcake. Top with more batter to cover the chocolate.

Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove the cupcakes from the oven and let them cool in the tin for 5 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, boiling water, and vegetable oil until smooth.

Once the cupcakes are cooled, drizzle the chocolate glaze over the top of each cupcake.

Allow the glaze to set for 10 minutes before serving.
