Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Add sugar and vanilla extract, and mix well.

Beat the eggs into the mixture until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 30 minutes.

Transfer the brownies to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
