Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Peel and boil the sweet potatoes until tender. Drain and mash.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed sweet potatoes, butter, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix well.

Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.

Sprinkle pecans on top.

Bake for 30 minutes.

Remove from the oven and top with marshmallows.

Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown.

Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
