Sweet potato pie is a traditional southern dessert commonly served during Thanksgiving.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Pierce the sweet potatoes with a fork and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour, or until tender.

Remove the sweet potatoes from the oven and let them cool. Once cooled, peel the skin off and mash the flesh.

In a large bowl, whisk together the mashed sweet potatoes, eggs, granulated sugar, milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.

Roll out the pie crust and line a pie dish with it. Pour the sweet potato mixture into the pie crust.

Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the filling is set.

Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for 2 hours before serving.

Serve the sweet potato pie at room temperature or chilled. Enjoy!
