Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix well.

Stir in the raisins and chopped walnuts.

Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.

Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
