In a large bowl, mix together the sweet potatoes or pumpkin puree, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt until well combined.

Pour the mixture into the pie crust and smooth the top.

Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for another 45 minutes or until the filling is set.
