Ingredients
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
-
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
-
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
-
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Press a pecan half onto the top of each cookie.
-
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
-
In a small saucepan, combine the maple syrup, vanilla extract, granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt. Cook over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture has thickened slightly, about 5 minutes.
-
Remove the candied pecans from the heat and let them cool for a few minutes. Spoon the pecans onto a piece of parchment paper and allow them to cool completely.
-
Serve the stone baked chocolate chippers with vanilla maple candied pecans alongside a glass of milk or a hot cup of coffee.
