Swirled Milk Chocolate & Caramel Morsel Cookies
The first chocolate chip cookie was created by Ruth Wakefield in the 1930s. Ruth, who owned the Toll House Inn, added chopped up chocolate to her cookie batter, thinking it would melt and create chocolate cookies. Instead, the chocolate stayed in morsel form and created the iconic cookies we know today.
