Stacked Spuds, also known as Hasselback Potatoes, originated in Sweden and are named after the restaurant where they were first served, Hasselbacken.

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
  3. Grease a baking dish and arrange a layer of potato slices.
  4. Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  5. Repeat the layers until all the potatoes are used.
  6. Top with grated cheddar cheese.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden and crispy.
  9. Let the stacked spuds rest for 10 minutes before serving.
  10. Garnish with sour cream and chopped green onions.
