Spiced Pear and Almond Turnovers Recipe

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Peel and dice the pears.

In a bowl, combine the diced pears, almonds, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.

Add the pear mixture to the skillet and cook until the pears are tender, about 5 minutes.

Remove from heat and let cool.

Lay out the phyllo dough sheets and cut each sheet into 4 squares.

Place a spoonful of the pear mixture onto each square.

Fold the squares in half diagonally to form triangles.

Press the edges together to seal the turnovers.

Place the turnovers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
