  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, buttermilk, and green food coloring.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove the cupcakes from the oven and let cool completely.
  8. Once cooled, use a small knife or cupcake corer to remove the center of each cupcake.
  9. Fill each cavity with marshmallow creme.
  10. Replace the tops of the cupcakes.
  11. Decorate the cupcakes with decorator gel to create a slime effect.
