Refrigerator rolls are called so because the dough can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator until ready to bake.

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.

Heat milk and butter in a saucepan until warm.

Add the warm milk mixture and egg to the dry ingredients. Mix well.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
