Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).

In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Pour half of the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the springform pan.

In a separate bowl, mix together the canned pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spread the pumpkin mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer.

Pour the remaining cream cheese mixture over the pumpkin layer.

Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set.

Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour.

Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.

Serve chilled with whipped cream on top.
