Ingredients
Instructions
-
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, butter, cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until a dough forms.
-
Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a disc. Wrap each disc in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
On a lightly floured surface, roll out one disc of dough into a circle. Spread a thin layer of jam or preserves over the dough, leaving a small border. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and cinnamon.
-
Carefully roll up the dough into a log, starting from the edge closest to you. Place the rugelach seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining dough and filling.
-
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow the rugelach to cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
-
Once cooled, dust the rugelach with powdered sugar. Serve and enjoy!
