Gradually add the yeast mixture and flour to the bowl, stirring until a soft dough forms.

Knead the dough for 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Place it in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

Punch down the dough and gently fold in the rose petals.

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape them into rolls.

In a small bowl, whisk together the egg yolk and water. Brush the rolls with the egg wash and sprinkle with sugar.
