Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix well.

Stir in the rolled oats, cornflakes cereal, shredded coconut, and chopped pecans.

Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Flatten each cookie slightly with the back of a spoon.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
