  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface.
  3. Cut the pastry into desired shapes or leave as a whole sheet.
  4. Place the filling of choice onto one half of the pastry.
  5. Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling and seal the edges.
  6. Beat the egg and brush it over the pastry for a golden finish.
  7. Place the puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. In a small bowl, mix milk and sugar to make a glaze.
  10. Brush the glaze over the baked puff pastry.
  11. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
