  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe persimmons.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the mashed persimmons and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chopped walnuts and raisins.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer the bread to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Once cooled, slice and serve.
