Overnight Pecan Rolls
Pecans are native to North America and were a staple food for Native Americans. They are also the only major tree nut that grows naturally in North America.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 525 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 16.

In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes.

In a large bowl, mix together sugar, milk, melted butter, salt, and egg.

Add yeast mixture and 2 cups of flour to the bowl. Mix until well combined.

Gradually add the remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, until the dough is soft and not sticky.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes.

Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a clean towel. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and cinnamon.

Roll out the dough into a rectangle shape.

Spread melted butter over the dough and sprinkle the brown sugar mixture and pecans evenly.

Roll up the dough tightly, starting from the long side.

Cut the rolled dough into 12 equal pieces.

Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and cover with a clean towel. Let it refrigerate overnight.

The next morning, preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

In a small bowl, mix together powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk to make the icing.

Drizzle the icing over the warm rolls.
