In a bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm milk. Let it sit for 10 minutes.

In a separate bowl, mix flour and salt.

Add the yeast mixture to the flour mixture and mix well.

Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and let the dough rise for 1 hour.

After the dough has risen, add the egg and raisins. Mix well.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan.

Using a spoon, drop spoonfuls of dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.

Remove the olie bollen from the oil and drain on paper towels.

Let the olie bollen rest for 30 minutes before serving.
