Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and dark chocolate together, stirring until smooth.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture to the sugar and egg mixture, stirring until well combined.

In another bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, cayenne pepper, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.

Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
