Nancy Macarons
Macarons are said to have originated in Italy, but they gained popularity in France and are now considered a quintessential French dessert.
This is vegetarian and gluten free recipe. Dish can be prepared in 75 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 6.

Sift almond flour and powdered sugar together.

In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add granulated sugar while continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.

Fold in the sifted almond flour and powdered sugar mixture. Add food coloring and mix until well combined.

Transfer the mixture to a piping bag and pipe small rounds onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Let the macarons rest for 30 minutes to develop a crust.

Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and bake the macarons for 15 minutes.

Once baked, let the macarons cool completely.

Sandwich the macarons with buttercream filling.
