  3. Fold in the sifted almond flour and powdered sugar mixture. Add food coloring and mix until well combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag and pipe small rounds onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Let the macarons rest for 30 minutes to develop a crust.
  6. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and bake the macarons for 15 minutes.
  7. Once baked, let the macarons cool completely.
  8. Sandwich the macarons with buttercream filling.
