Cranberry Bars
Cranberries are one of the few fruits native to North America.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Reserve 1 1/2 cups of the mixture for the topping. Press the remaining mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the crust. Sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture and walnuts over the cranberry sauce.

Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the top is golden brown. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
