Add the sugar, golden syrup, condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until well combined.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat and let it cool for 5 minutes.

Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and let it cool completely.
