  2. In a skillet, combine the cranberries, sugar, orange juice, and orange zest.
  3. Cook over medium heat until the cranberries have burst and the mixture has thickened, about 10 minutes.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  6. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  7. Pour the cranberry mixture into the skillet.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of the cobbler batter on top of the cranberry mixture.
